A few days ago, Javier Goyeneche, founder of ECOALF, spoke about purpose-driven entrepreneurship and the importance of sustainability with students at an event organized alongside UAM Consulting.
He addressed issues related to the challenges of international expansion and explained how, guided by their motto “Because there is no Planet B”, it is essential to maintain clear principles, champion responsible fashion, and refuse to promote consumerism. In addition, he spoke about combining economic profitability with social impact and took us through their Upcycling the Oceans project: from collaborating with thousands of fishermen to remove waste from the sea to transforming it into new fabrics.
After the session, we had the opportunity to hold an interesting Q&A about the challenges of managing a purpose-driven company. All of this ended with an informal toast that allowed us to exchange ideas.
Thank you very much to Javier Goyeneche and ECOALF for sharing your experience and for reminding us that the companies of the future must create value and generate a positive impact on society.
